Spirit Song is proud to be a part of the United Methodist Church. We are part of a great tradition stretching back over two hundred years as Methodists, and over two thousand years as part of the church universal.
We are the second largest Protestant denomination in America. Our membership includes people of all nationalities. We believe we are a church of “Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors.”
As United Methodists we agree with the historic doctrines of the Christian faith regarding God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the role of the church in the world and more. We have a strong belief in the Bible as our primary guide and rule for life. The values of church traditions and the use of human reason are also celebrated. We encourage individual exploration of God’s truth in the human experience as well.
United Methodists are known for our emphasis on a personal faith which leads us to active participation in our communities and world. We believe we can help make both our communities and our world a better place by our combined efforts with other Methodists and with people of other faith traditions.
