Nine of us participated in our monthly project with HopeKids. This month we helped the children to build birdhouses. They had a lot of fun but I think we were even more blessed than they were!
Here are some photos of our outdoor Easter worship celebration at Vistancia Elementary School. We made use of their outdoor amphitheater and enjoyed near perfect weather.
On Saturday, March 13th, a group of church members and friends enjoyed a hike in White Mountain Park. We hiked the popular waterfall trail (2.2 miles) and marveled at how green the desert was from the recent rains. The waterfall even had water flowing! After the hike we enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch at the Harker's home. Enjoy a few of the pictures from that morning.
Here are some pictures taken on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 as the United Methodist Men and other members of the church met at Trilogy to participate in the Kids Against Hunger mission project. The goal was to bag over 100,000 meals to be sent to children in Haiti (60%) and the remainder (40%) to assist needy children here in Arizona. As you can see from the pictures, we all wore hair nets and worked at stations putting the various ingredients into plastic bags. One bag, we were told, would provide a nourishing meal for 6-7 children. It took several hours but we had fun!
