HopeKids August Birdhouse  Project Testimonials

My kids (Nevaeh, Diego, n Itzary) and I wanted to say thank you for the birdhouse. They had a lot of fun. As soon as we got home they were so happy to put the house on the tree. Nevaeh wanted to put all kinds of stuff in there (little piece of blanket, food, a cup w/water so they could take a bath, etc...).

Thank you again for a great time!

Thank you so very much for hosting the Build a Birdhouse event for the HopeKids and having you all there to help out the kids. My children had a really good time and we have hung our birdhouses in the tree out front of our house. I heard that you do events every month and now that we know that, I'm sure we'll attend more.

Haley is 4 years old and going through chemotherapy for the second time. Noah is her strong supporting brother. Riley is 6 in September and she is a friend and a HopeKid child as well.

We thank you so much to take time out of your day to help shine happiness for these kids!

from the Burt family...a big hug and Thank you!

Thank you very much! Amanda and Izzy love their bird houses. What a great gift!

Be Blessed! Lorraine & Marty

HopeKids July Checker Boards Project Testimonials

Oh my you guys are great. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the time and thought and cost that you put into our kids (especially mine).  He loves the checker board and is playing it now with me.  I could not get him to play before.  But anything that gets his hands to work.  AWESOME.. So thank you again and we love spending the time to get to know you. I'm Christiano's mom.  He made the green and orange one. God Bless.

HopeKids June Tool Box project Testimonials

Parents couldn't wait to say thank you when their children had the opportunity to make tool boxes as Father's Day gifts:

"Thank you for the wonderful time building the toolboxes. My daughter Amanda thoroughly enjoyed it. It was one of the most fun events that we had with HopeKids. You were a true blessing in bringing many smiles to Amanda and myself."

"I just wanted to thank you so much for your time and efforts for this event. My daughter and son had a great time building something they can take home. I wanted to let you know the smiles did not end when the event was over. The look on my husband's face when he got two tool boxes for Father's Day was amazing. Thank you so much."

"Thank you very much for your kind attention last Saturday! My four daughters were thrilled to build something with their own hands that they could then give to their dad and grandpas. Think of the treasure you gave my husband! Our adopted daughter has HIV and we never know when the Lord Almighty will take her. To have this gift made by her little hands is priceless!"

"Thank you so much for allowing us to make a toolbox for Father's Day. My son who helped dad make the toolbox put his hand prints and foot prints on it and gave it to his grandpa as a father's day gift from him. Thank you Rhonda and Nenos, we enjoyed making the toolbox."

Words about Spirit Song

We asked a few of our church members to share some of the reasons why they attend Spirit Song and what the church means to them. We think their responses will give you some insight into what makes Spirit Song such a special church. Come join us!

1) I like very much the "Church Doctrine" of the United Methodist Church (UMC).  I feel very comfortable with it in my heart!  It welcomes "all people," even if they are "not" members of the UMC, to attend church, and to receive "Holy Communion!"  What a change from other religions, i.e., the Catholic Church, for example!!
2)  I like my Pastor very much!
3)  I like all of the members of my congregation!
4) The above three (3) listed items make me go to church on Sundays, and also to participate as a productive member of our congregation! What more can I say!?
With Best Wishes, Dieter Knauer

Linda and I certainly enjoy our association with Spirit Song Church. We feel very fortunate to be in the company of so many friendly and helpful members, who enjoy the fellowship with all who attend. We enjoy the uplifting music. We know that the church will be a huge asset to the community.
Sincerely,
Carl & Linda Mitchell

All my life I have had questions about religion.  I have had questions about the role of religion in the world.  I have had questions about my relationship with God.  I have had questions about the Bible and its teachings.  I have always been proud of the tradition of the Methodist church which allowed me to ask these questions but until Spirit Song I never felt I was getting any real answers.  I often felt I was being talked at, not talked to.  Spirit Song has changed all that. It is a place where my questions are answered. Spirit Song is a place where the comfort of traditional hymns exists side by side with the excitement of modern Christian music.  Spirit Song is a place where young and old learn from each other.  Spirit Song is a new church exploring the oldest questions.  Spirit Song is truly a place where you will be loved and accepted.

From our very first visit to Spirit Song, I knew this was the community for us.  Why? Because Spirit Song is just that - a community. It’s a place filled with a variety of personalities and different spiritual visions, yet everyone is welcoming and truly interested in your well being. I have never made so many friends so quickly. I had been looking for a spiritual community in which I fit in for close to 20 years. It has been a 20 year spiritual quest with many lapses. I thought I would never find a place where my questions where not only listen to, but encouraged, and where no one pretends to have all of the answers. When I walk out of Sunday Service I feel re-energized.  In and out of church, I look forward to spending time with all of my friends from Spirit Song.  My initial feelings about Spirit Song were reinforced after our second visit when my son age 5 looked at me and asked “When are we going back to that place where we are loved and accepted and our hurts are healed?” If you are looking for an accepting, supportive, and open community than Spirit Song will be a perfect fit for you and your family.
Sincerely,
Tracy Thompson

Attending Spirit Song feels like being part of a large family.  The opportunity for fellowship and getting to know people more in depth is exciting. We enjoy being part of a wonderful group of Christian people coming together with the Holy Spirit.
