I Don't Know All the Answers
I'm not writing any sermons right now, so I've found it be a good spiritual exercise to write the daily devotions for this website. I've never really done this before and at first I found myself getting too wordy. I've had to be somewhat more disciplined in my thinking (and my writing) in order to keep these devotions to one or two paragraphs. I hope you are finding the devotions helpful. They're just spiritual kernels, just to get you thinking without providing a lot of answers.
Which is probably a good thing. I don't think it should be the role or responsibility of the pastor/preacher to be an "answer man." Although I've had a good theological education and I've devoted many years to study of the scriptures, I certainly don't profess to have all the answers. In fact, I still have a lot of questions. I consider myself a fellow spiritual traveler, a leader yes, but not the one who necessarily shows the way. I am a follower of Jesus Christ, and I invite others to walk with me on this journey of faith, so that together we might discover some of the answers, or at least know what questions to ask.
