10:00 a.m. - HopeKids hands on mission project, helping the children to build birdhouses at Glendale Prep. on the Dove of the Desert UMC campus, 7201 West Beardsley Rd. Enter the church parking lot and turn right. Drive around the church. Look for posted signs directing you to the Hopekids project.

This is "Bring a Friend to Children's Sunday School" day with a special Sunday school with special treat and project. Bring your children to be our guests.
Tuesday, August 31
7:00 p.m. - Join us for a Bible study on the book of Esther. Bring your Bibles and discover the unique call God placed on Esther, a young Jewish woman in a foreign land. This class is meeting in the home of Pastor Valerie in Vistancia, 12562 W. Miner Trl., Peoria. All studies are open to guests.

10:00 a.m. - Worship and Holy Communion at Vistancia Elementary
We will have a 'Blessing of Our Labors.' Bring something that represents your labor from volunteer to work at home to job searching to careers. Resumes, pacifiers, business cards, tools, hats, are all possibilities. Join us as we ask God's blessing on our labor.
11:30 a.m. - Brainstorming Meeting
Following worship we will gather at the Kanetzky home for an all church meeting about next events, classes, projects, etc. Share your ideas and learn what others have in mind.
Rummage Sale Coming
Our First Annual Rummage Sale is coming up on October 2 at Nenos Easa's house in Peoria. Large items can be stored in his garage ahead. Help will be needed for sorting and set-up and clean-up.
