Our mission as a church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Beginning next year we will implement our plan in four important steps:
Our Discipleship Pathway: “Learning to Sing Your Spirit Song”
We have an intentional path for helping you grow deeper in your faith and to become a fully committed follower of Jesus Christ.
Step 1 – “Welcome to Spirit Song”
The first step is to accept our invitation. At Spirit Song you'll be warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. Our Orientation Class will help you understand what we're all about and how to become a member.
Step 2 -- "Discover Your Spirit S.O.N.G"
In this step you'll be invited to attend four classes that together will help you grow deeper in your faith.
"S" – Sacred Center – you'll learn the spiritual disciplines that lead to greater personal relationship with Christ
"O" – One in Spirit – you'll learn the core values and beliefs that create and build Christian community.
"N" – Newness of Life – you'll learn the basic Christian beliefs that lead to conversion, commitment and call.
"G" – Gifts of the Spirit – you'll discover your own spiritual gifts and identify your personal “spirit song.”
Plus you'll be offered opportunities for continued spiritual education through Elective Studies that include Bible 101, What’s So Amazing About Grace?, bible studies of individual books, the teachings of Jesus, studies on faithful living, etc.
Step 3 – “Sing Your Spirit Song in Harmony with Others"
Our ”Harmony Groups” are small groups of 12-15 people who gather weekly or twice a month for prayer, care, bible study, fellowship, relationship building and missions.
(Steps 2 and 3 are concurrent -- we encourage you to be in a Harmony group while you are engaging in the S.O.N.G. classes and additional on-going studies.)
Step 4 – “Share Your Spirit Song with the World”
As a mature Christ-follower you'll find opportunities to mentor others who are on various stages of their faith journey, and be involved in intentional outreach to our community and world.
Completing these four steps and then continuing to be a life-long learner will result in fulfilling all that God has purposed for you -- "...until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:13)
