Welcome to the Spirit Song United Methodist Church website. Our new church is just getting started and we're anxious to meet and make new friends in the North Peoria/Lake Pleasant area. Please register so you can fully participate in all that this website offers.

What is Spirit Song?
We believe that God has given every believer a “spirit song” that is uniquely theirs, a combination of spiritual gifts, a sense of calling, and a vision of who they can be as they grow deeper in their personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. A person’s “spirit song” is that unique expression of the Holy Spirit at work within each of us that draws us to the heart of God and fires our passion to love and serve others. Come and let us help you discover your "spirit song" as you grow deeper in faith.
"Preview" Worship Services Begin Saturday, Sept. 6th
Good news! Beginning Saturday, September 6th at 5:00pm, Spirit Song will offer weekly "preview" worship services on Saturday evenings at Vistancia Elementary School. Featuring contemporary worship with "a touch of the traditional."
The September "preview" services will be complete in every way with dynamic preaching, a great praise band, excellent nursery and children's "Bible Zone" classes, but will also give us a chance to "practice" with the technology and try out a few things before our official "launch" later in October. Check the Worship Services page for more details including a preview of upcoming worship themes and sermon titles.
We dress pretty casual for worship here at Spirit Song -- jeans or shorts are fine. Wear what you like -- we just want you to feel comfortable.
So, mark September 6th on your calendar and join us at 5:00pm for a special inaugural worship service with the celebration of a baptism and communion.

Results of Our Worship Survey
Over the past few months we asked you to share your preference for a style of worship (which really is a question of the style of music). Blended worship came in first with 11 votes, Contemporary worship was a close second with 9 votes. Traditional worship was third with 4 votes. Thanks for your input!
Our new survey asks how often you visit this website. Some visit once a day, others once a week, still others less frequently. We hope you'll check in regularly because we post new information frequently and its the best way to stay informed about everything happening here at Spirit Song!
Here are some facts about our website -- in July we had 656 visitors who accessed over 5000 pages and recorded over 11,000 hits. So we're seeing lots of activity even in the summer months!
We Have Our Own MySpace Page
ASU students Michelle and Jennifer have put the finishing touches on the Spirit Song MySpace page. It was Michelle's idea to put up a page on MySpace, explaining that almost everybody under the age of 25 has their own MySpace page and if you want to reach that age group, that's the best way to do it. So, go check out our MySpace page at www.myspace.com/spiritsongumc. By the way, if you're a member of Facebook, check out Steve Marshall's new Facebook page (and become a "friend.")
Harmony Groups on Summer Hiatus
Our three Harmony groups have taken some time off to enjoy summer vacations but will resume their weekly studies in September.
